breakfast
It’s breakfast for dinner day. I do believe it is one of EVERYONE in the houses favorite dinners. Instead of the same old same old. I’m going to spice it up a bit!
We’re adding:

Apple Pancakes with Cider syrup
So, apple pancakes are nothing new to us. In fact I throw all sorts of goodness into my pancakes — buttermilk, cinnamon, cherry juice sometimes!, flax seed. The real “cherry on top” for this recipe for me is the cider syrup!! Doesn’t it sound heavenly? Of course I have to go buy cider. . . hmm. . .

Baked Oatmeal Squares
Baked oatmeal has always intrigued me. I think it’s high time we try it out. I think I’ll be substituting dried cranberries for the cherries today, though. That’s what I have!

Amish Breakfast Casserole
Always looking for something more interesting to do with eggs & bacon. This recipe incorporates the potato portion of breakfast also! Score!
That looks like plenty to keep me busy! (and to fill them up!) Can’t wait to eat tonight! Enjoy your evening! Make time to hug & kiss your family members. Tell them you love them! <3
bringing in that bacon
I’ve been reading a lot about how to monetize your blog. And one of the big things that seems to keep recurring is the eBook subject. I’d like to do this. Put tips & recipes & such in a little electronic thing to buy for a buck or $2. The thing is. . . Everything that I think would be beneficial has been covered already.
A lot of the items aren’t necessarily my own original idea, either, but I’ve worked the kinks out for how it works best for me & streamlines everything. Noone wants to read *another* book on housecleaning, menu planning, freezer cooking, etc. I don’t know. Maybe we should just save the money we shell out each year for the hosting for my webpages. lol. hmm. . .
dirty words
A couple years ago, I got a divorce. I was a hardcore conservative believer who was resolved to have her butt at every church function available. We were homeschooling, going to conferences, the whole 9 yards. Then it all caved in around us. Read the rest of this entry »
Time
I had a 3 county dash to do today. Appointments in one place, paperwork that needed dropped off in another, & a refund to pick up in an entirely different place. I’ve been reading Tsh Oxenrider’s(from SimpleMom.net
Organized Simplicity: The Clutter-Free Approach to Intentional Living
. I’m trying to simplify life to maximize the quality and quantity of time my family can/will spend together. Sometimes it’s overwhelming trying to get into the groove of accepting these changes. They aren’t huge, but they do impact the way you live. We try to not to waste time. To live with intention. I think we’ve benefitted so far. To giving up slouching around with ALL of our free time. Realizing clutter is a huge stress strain & keeping our things put away.
However! Today as I was cancelling one of my tots’ appointments to reschedule for next week & remembering the others that need to be scheduled. I wonder how do moms with more kids than I do it? How do you keep up with all of the appointments, homework, etc. Oh my. We don’t even have outside commitments really, but it seems the moment we get home, it’s already time to get ready for bed & do it all over again. *sigh* You got to get through the hard stuff to make it to the other side though. We’ll get there! I believe we’re just having some growing pains, that’s all. Getting into the nitty gritty of new habits.
We get more time for this:
Not just for us. But for the tots, too. I love nuzzling with him. It just makes my heart want to explode.

g’morning
Today, I woke up early. I started to roll over & go back to sleep {meh, I don’t have to be at work til Noon. Why get up now?}, then I decided that’s not how to get things done around here. Many things to do. Here’s the List:
Some are already done. Some should be done but I got distracted by reading an interesting blog post, that led me to others, and to others. You got it! 30 minutes later, I’m back on track.
I was so excited to find one of the books on my “To Read” list at the library yesterday. Had to take Tank to the eye doctor. “We can get you in @ 11.45!” the cheerful voice on he phone says. Me being NOT so cheerful. . . *glances at watch*. . .Barely 10 am. . .thinks. . .smiles in to phone so I can sound cheerful too. “That’ll be great. Thanks!” At least they were able to get him in. I called four different places, they were either full, or not taking new patients, or not open (urgent care).
Anyways. Point being. We had time to burn, so I figured why not? I was thinking getting them from the library would be better. I can read them first then decide if it’s something I want to have on my shelf so i can mark it up. So far, I’m really enjoying Organized Simplicity! The author is Simplemom.net owner/author and I love her views. She has always seemed right on with my own ideas & what I want for this life both for myself & my tots. I’m already on chapter 4!
I’m off to tackle chapter four and to practice my %w/w, %w/v, %v/v calculations, whatever those are. (lol) Be safe. Bundle up! Talk to you soon.
and it’s only 2:30?
Wow. Today started off horribly. Finances, things breaking, paperwork. You name it, I feel like I had it. Then, I was reminded of this verse:
Galatians 6:9
The Message (MSG)
9-10So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.
(Actually, I was hearing Steve Green singing it from Hide ‘em in Your Heart Vol. 2 ) At any rate. . .
Let us not grow weary. I sat down to take a break from the things I wasn’t looking forward to doing (making phone calls, etc.). And decided to pull out my never opened copy of Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace: Putting Common Sense Into Your Dollars and Cents. I read for awhile, and realized I was losing heart. Giving up on any progress I’d made because it seems no matter where I turn, it was like hitting a maze full of hurdles. So, I picked my phone up & made the necessary calls. I did this only to find out that 2 out of 3 situations had already resolved themselves. The third one, I’m just going to have to be patient on. It can only be resolved in time, however, it was helpful that I was at the end of the maze with the majority of my issues.
At this rate I’m feeling mighty productive. What’s been crossed off your to – do list for the day? I need to go scrub toilets. yay! lol. Here’s what’s left on mine.
(I want this app for my phone! I edited it to make it work for me now, it’s only $0.99 for iPhones! I’m excited! Want to purchase it. Click H E R E to see it in action.
